Gregory Denman is an educator, writer, speaker and children's performer from Colorado Springs, Colorado, who has been an enthusiastic advocate of teachers, students and literacy throughout his career. He has been a classroom and university teacher, conducted seminars, and provided inservices across the United States and Canada. He is noted for his stimulating presentations on writing and language learning. In addition to his two popular language arts textbooks, Sit Tight and I'll Swing You a Tail (Heinemann Educational Books, 1991) and When You've Made it Your Own (Heinemann Educational Books, 1988), he has written numerous articles in professional journals, including "The Gifted Child Today" and "The Writing Teacher."
